The benefits
Fast and reliable detection
Dräger Flame 2700 is a multichannel IR fire detector. This detector detects hydrocarbon-based fires even at longer distances. In just 5 seconds the detector warns of gasoline fire (measuring 0.1 m2) from a distance of 65 meters or hydrogen fire from a distance of 30 meters. This degree of reliability complies with IEC 61508 security integrity requirements of SIL2.
In addition, this fire detector has a HART® and RS-485 Modbus interface and requires very little power.
Prevention of false alarms
Flame 2700 is immune to various sources of interference. This prevents false alarms. Sources that often cause false alarms, such as welding work or hot CO2 emissions, have caused no problems. In addition, sensitive detection ensures that the detector does not sound an alarm for fire originating from other areas.
Strong and tough
The container is very strong and weather resistant. The observation window is heated to protect it from freezing and fogging. This allows you to operate Flame 2700 under the most diverse environmental conditions.
Simple inspection
Built-in testing (BIT, Built-in-Test) automatically checks the electronic and optical parts of the Flame 2700. You can also do the inspection manually. The tri-color LED on the front of the detector provides a quick status indication. Green indicates normal operation, yellow indicates an error, and red indicates a fire alarm.
